Sarah Kim Bonner – Triathlete

Canadian Sarah, now living in the sunny Canary Islands, Spain, had her first positive sport experience while completing her Masters in Cape Town – when her dad signed her up to ride the Argus with him.  Soon afterwards, Sarah started running to complete the Two Oceans Half Marathon and graduated to her first triathlon, aged 27.

With her sights set on competing at the 70.3 World Championship in 2023, Sarah draws on her self-confessed resilience to keep going. Managing a long-term injury has tested both her mental and physical strength, but never her resilience and forward momentum. She attributes this to the positive influence of her parents, who have managed adversity and risk to live full and complete lives. In the trying moments, Sarah draws inspiration from the likes of Paula Findlay who persevered for 10 years to win a pro championship race.

Anyone that knows Sarah, knows that Sarah loves training! In the mountains; tiny quiet roads and trails that never seem to end (this way, she can enjoy any music with a beat, which might be a single song for her entire session on repeat). It’s no wonder that her positive outlook and optimism is so infectious!

Sarah fuels with Cadence Nutrition CarboFuel and Classic Energy Gels – citrus flavour all round.  These provide the perfect energy for the sessions like a 10 x 1km track run, 10 x 200m in the pool or a 60min TT effort that pay rewards on race day.

Starting her journey with Cadence Nutrition when the brand first launched, Sarah feels like part of the family and is proud to be part of the growth into the European market.
